The key to your health

Last week I had the privilege of attending the Integrative Personalised Medicine Conference in London, which was jam packed with information and knowledge from the field of mental health's leading experts; Dr. Daniel Amen, Prof Craig Shimasaki, Dr. Olivia Lesslar, Dr. Jill Carnahan and Dr. Dean Ornish - to name a few. And here is what I had confirmed: Your lifestyle truly is key to your health!
Most of us go through life taking our health for granted, so we don't consider all the things we do that hurt it. And those who do consider this aspect of life will still have times where they think 'ah - just this once won't do much damage'. Which, in all fairness, could be true. But the things we do that hurt our health accumulate. When we then add all the seemingly small things we do that most don't consider a threat to their health (e.g. managing our thoughts, removing toxins and setting boundaries); then comes trouble.
So what exactly is lifestyle? And how can we live a healthy one? Where do I find this so called key?

The key is found within. And this is the part where health coaching differs from asking Google, because, frankly, Google (or ChatGPT for that matter) could easily tell you what to do to live a healthy lifestyle. Google cannot, however, listen actively and sense what's happening between your words, it cannot hold you accountable and it cannot build a trusting relationship with you where you feel seen and heard.
Amongst many other things, health coaching takes your personal history, your values, needs and dreams into account when working on the best healthy lifestyle for you. It also helps you uncover limiting beliefs that hold you back or inhibit you in caring for your body and brain. It helps you create new habits and provides you with strategies to hold on to them. And health coaching empowers you to live a life that, uniquely to you, feels great and nourishes you on every level.
So if you are ready to take your health to a whole new level and all of this sounds like something you would like to explore, please feel free to reach out. As always, I offer a free initial consultation.
